Voices to end hunger
We are excited to launch ‘Voices to End’ – a platform where leaders from the world of politics, business, philanthropy, media, arts, and entertainment can come together to spotlight the most concerning issues facing communities globally and amplify the voices of those directly affected.
What is the aim?
Through the Voices to End Hunger initiative, The Advocacy Team seeks to shine a spotlight on unsung heroes working to combat hunger in both the UK and around the world. We aim to do this through The Voices to End Hunger Awards and elevate the voices of community-based organisations and their work to tackle food insecurity head-on by providing them with the visibility, resources, and connections to expand their impact. Nominees will fall under the following categories: the Voice, Innovation, Youth Hunger Hero, Community Champion and Partnerships.
Recognition
The awards will recognise the transformative work of grassroots organisations working to end hunger in their communities
Community
Platforming the work of these communities will spread the word and inspire others to work to end hunger.
AWareness
Spotlight grassroots efforts tackling hunger & food insecurity—urge governments & global actors to address root causes & drive real change.
Connection
Connect grassroots organisations with businesses, philanthropists, policymakers, influential figures, advocates, senior officials, and leaders.
COUNTING DOWN TO THE AWARDS
The awards will recognise the transformative work of grassroots organisations working to end hunger in their communities; inspire more people to get involved; connect these organisations with business and philanthropic organisations and raise awareness about the need for action by governments and global actors to address the root causes of hunger and food insecurity. These awards will foster a supportive and connected community that creates momentum for continued advocacy and collective action against hunger.
